The FSBL Regular Season Starts December 2nd!
The Farmwell Station Basketball League relies on parents and young adults who volunteer their time each year to coach our Ashburn youth players! We are actively recruiting Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches to work with our players in the FSBL Winter League. All coaching candidates must pass a league mandated background screening performed by the National Center for Safety Initiatives in order to coach in the league.
If you have friends in Ashburn or surrounding towns who might enjoy coaching in our league, please have them register to coach. If you have an older son or daughter who has graduated from high school or college and lives in the area and knows basketball, ask them if they'd like to coach. We need your help! Please register as a Head Coach by clicking on the bouncing basketball below!
If you have a good knowledge of basketball, but you've never coached before, now is the time to give it a try by coaching in our House Leagues. All great coaches started somewhere! The commitment of coaching in the FSBL involves one 90 minute practice per week and one 60 minute game per week on Saturdays. If you coached in the league back when your children were young, we'd love to have you back! If you played in the league before graduating from high school, we'd also love to have you back coaching a team if you think you can coach.
Please step up and Coach this season!
Win or lose, all the kids who play in the league win when we have enthusiastic coaches on the sidelines working with our players. Thanks, in advance, for your help. Contact the appropriate deputy commissioner for more information.

When you have a need to contact a member of the FSBL Board Of Directors. please remember the following:
Always include your first and last name.
Always include your child’s first and last name.
Always include the grade your child is currently attending.
Something to think about while watching your son or daughter play in FSBL games this season:
1. These are kids.
2. Basketball is a game.
3. Parents should cheer for everyone!
4. The referees are human and sometime make mistakes.
5. Your child is not a professional athlete playing for millions of dollars ..... yet!
If you disagree with these statements, please contact FSBL Commissioner, Craig Newman: email@example.com. He'd be happy to explain them to you!
Parents are required to notify the FSBL Board Of Directors, within forty-eight (48) hours, when their child is suspended or expelled from school. If the BOD is not notified within forty-eight (48) hours of any such suspension/expulsion, then upon discovery the child will be expelled from FSBL immediately for the remainder of the current season and the entire next season.
Your child's success or lack of success in sports does not indicate what kind of parent you are.
But having an athlete who is coachable, respectful, a great teammate, mentally tough, resilient and tries their best IS a direct reflection of your parenting.
FSBL 2023 - 2024 Winter League refund requests should be submitted here. No refund requests will be accepted after October 19th for the FSBL House League!
If your son or daughter wears regular eye glasses to see like those pictured below, they are not permitted to be worn in practices or games in the FSBL. Before the season begins, please have your player fitted for a pair of RecSpecs or another brand of prescription sport goggles.
